Building water resilience:

Shayp’s corporate water stewardship launch

Who we helped

Founded in Belgium in 2017, Shayp helps organisations improve water efficiency in buildings using their smart leak detection and water management technology. Recognised as a World Economic Forum UpLink Top Innovator and a certified B Corp, Shayp works with organisations including Microsoft and Google to reduce water waste and improve urban water resilience.

Shayp was preparing to launch Shayp 4Impact, a new corporate water stewardship offering designed to help multinational organisations meet their water replenishment goals through building water efficiency projects.

Challenges

The challenge wasn’t creating another product launch. It was introducing an entirely new business model and positioning Shayp beyond its existing audience of facilities managers and building owners.

The communications needed to:

Position Microsoft and Google partnerships as proof of credibility without overshadowing Shayp's own story.

Create a consistent visual identity for the new offering while remaining true to the existing Shayp brand.

Generate international visibility ahead of New York Climate Week and reach sustainability leaders, corporates and the global water sector.

What we did

Our comprehensive approach included:

  1. Discovery & strategic planning: Worked closely with the Shayp team to understand the new offering, define campaign objectives and identify how Shayp 4Impact would sit alongside the existing business.
  2. Strategic messaging: Developed clear messaging around corporate water stewardship, translating a complex proposition into a compelling story that resonated with both sustainability professionals and water industry audiences.
  3. Brand development: Created a complementary visual identity for Shayp 4Impact, alongside new logos for existing offerings Shayp 2ZERO and Shayp 4ONE. Along with diagrams, infographics and campaign assets.
  4. Video Production: Scripted and produced a hero announcement video focused on the real-world impact of the partnerships, showing how water efficiency projects contribute to wider corporate water stewardship goals.
  5. PR & media outreach: Launched announcement and coordinated international media outreach around New York Climate Week, securing interviews and coverage across leading water, sustainability and business publications.
  6. Social media campaign: To maintain momentum beyond launch day, we created a series of LinkedIn assets explaining Shayp 4Impact, expanding on the partnerships and helping audiences understand the wider story behind the announcement.

Results

The campaign successfully established Shayp 4Impact as a credible new offering within the corporate water stewardship space while positioning Shayp as an emerging leader in water replenishment solutions.

It was a pleasure to work with the Atlantean Media team on the launch of our Shayp 4Impact offering. Given the agency’s experience in communicating the corporate-start-up partnerships and replenishment projects, they were a logical fit. As well as working on creative brand assets, they helped up to define and then announce the story, resulting in great coverage, including Forbes. We’d happily recommend them to others looking for communications support in the water and climate technology space.
